The health and safety of our clients, staff, and visitors is always a top priority at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph (SJHCG). Our infection control practitioner oversees our infection control procedures to ensure that they meet the standard of best practices in the field. Staff undergo regular training and we follow the latest developments in infection control practices to stay on top of new trends or potential risks.

Constant vigilance is necessary to protect against infectious disease and everyone has a role to play. We strongly urge everyone in contact with SJHCG to get an annual flu shot.

Visitors can help protect the health of our clients by cleaning their hands with the sanitizer located at our front entrance whenever they enter or leave the building. Hand-cleaning stations are also located at the entrance to, and throughout, each neighbourhood (unit). It is also important that visitors not come to SJHCG when they, or members of their family, are ill or feeling under the weather.
