Palliative Care

Palliative care provides relief to terminally-ill patients and residents through the management of their symptoms and pain.  In a palliative care setting, the focus is not on death but on maintaining the highest possible quality of life. Well-rounded palliative care programs like we have at St. Joseph's also address psychological, social and spiritual needs. Our palliative care is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team whose members give holistic care that addresses the needs of the patient or resident as well as those who are sharing his or her final weeks, days, and hours.
