Young Onset Dementia Program
The Young Onset Dementia Association, also known as our YODA Program provides a stimulating environment where men and women, who are under the age of 65 and have been diagnosed with young onset dementia, can meet and socialize.
The goal of the program is to create opportunities for individuals to participate in meaningful activities in a supportive environment. Participants can take part in a range of activities such as: outings in the community, trivia programs, music and arts-based programs, food preparation and baking, group meals, as well as fitness programs. The program includes recreational activities that reflect goals, interests, life experiences, and the abilities of those in the group.
The program is held on Tuesdays from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. A hot entrée and refreshments are provided.
This program is not suitable for those requiring 2-person transfers, the use of a mechanical lift, one-on-one support or feeding assistance.
Cost: $12 per day
