Fergus Day Out Program
The Fergus Day Out program is designed for seniors who are frail, have an acquired brain injury or dementia, and are currently living at home. The group can accommodate up to 16 people.
Structured activities are provided in a welcoming environment. The program is designed and developed with participants to ensure activities reflect individual preferences and interests.
Supervised large and small group activities can include cooking and baking, cards, bowling, board games, musical entertainment, and bingo. There are also beautiful gardens and walking trails that participants can enjoy.
The program is delivered in a space shared with the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Behavior Response Team who help to support patients who are living with dementia or brain injury, and the Victorian Order of Nurses.
The program runs from Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Lunch and a snack are provided.
This program is not suitable for people who require 2-person transfers, the use a mechanical lift, one-on-one support, or feeding assistance.
Cost: $15 per day
