Energy Management

The Green Energy Act was introduced into Ontario legislature in 2009 to encourage energy conservation, renewable energy production, and to promote a green economy. This Act, regulation 397, requires the broader public sector hospitals to report their annual energy consumption to the Ministry of Energy each year, starting on July 1, 2013.

Beginning July 1, 2014 St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph will be required to submit an energy conservation and demand management plan outlining how we will reduce our energy consumption.  In addition to reporting  to the Ministry, we will post our plan on our website and intranet page.  A hard copy of the plan will also be available in the President’s office.

Follow this link to find out what we are working on right now and what will be introducing in the coming years as part of our corporate green commitment.
