Complex Care

Complex_Continuing_Care_New.JPGComplex continuing care patients have complicated health problems that require hospital services for an extended period of time. Patients, who range in age from young adults to seniors, need extra medical attention or specialized equipment to meet their health needs.
Besides round-the-clock registered nursing staff and personal support workers, our 64 complex continuing care patients benefit from a multi-disciplinary team approach which can include social work, recreation therapy, spiritual care, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Patients come to us for palliative care (8 beds), restorative care (15 beds) and medically complex care (41 beds).
To find out if you, or someone you know, is eligible for complex care at St. Joseph's Health Centre Guelph, please contact your family physician or the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network (WWLHIN) Home and Community Care.
